Muscle Shoals is located in Northwest Alabama along the Tennessee River in a two county region known as the Shoals. Since the city of Muscle Shoals was founded in 1923, it has been recognized nationally for the Tennessee Valley Authority, and “Muscle Shoals music”. Today, Muscle Shoals is a thriving town in the heart of “The Shoals” and is known as a family-friendly place for our residents to live, work, and play. Muscle Shoals has an exceptional school system (grades K – 12). Northwest Shoals Community College, a two year insitutution, and the University of North Alabama, a four year institution, are available for those wishing to further their education.

With a population of 8,734, the city of Tuscumbia offers its residents the comfortable atmosphere of a small town with a large shopping and industrial area. Tuscumbia is part of the greater Shoals area, that includes Sheffield, Muscle Shoals and Florence. Tuscumbia is a city in Colbert County, Alabama, The 2000 census lists the population at 7,856[.Tuscumbia was the hometown of Helen Keller and is the location of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame.Recreational and cultural opportunities, and progressive economic base make Tuscumbia one of the most attractive areas in the southeast.With its rich history and even brighter future, Tuscumbia is a great place to visit or to spend a lifetime!Tuscumbia is the county seat of Colbert County, which is in the Northwest corner of the state.
